Kevyn W A Y (they/them) is a Black, queer & gender expansive, multi-genre writer who weaves stories to make the reader gasp, shutter, and cackle. Their writing features themes of race, family and adoption while highlighting the connection between gender and Blackness. Founder of “And We Write”, a creative writing space for Black, transgender, gender nonconforming (TGNC) adoptees to create together.
Kevyn is committed to telling Black & transgender stories and bringing their voices to light. Author of Transcendence an interview series featuring Black transgender, gender nonconforming and nonbinary people who have gone through the top surgery process.
Kevyn’s work has been published with Alchemy, PACT, Prevention at the Intervention, Scattered Progression, Stellium Literary Magazine & they have been artist in residence at 2727 California Street, Apogeo Collective, Caldera Arts & the Independent Publishing Resource Center (IPRC).
