Sara Hirschhorn
Sara Hirschhorn (she/her) is a transracial adoptee from South Korea. She was adopted at 4 months of age. She grew up in Atlanta, GA until she was 7 and has lived in an Oregon since then.
Sara received her undergraduate degree University of Oregon in psychology and women's studies. She obtained her masters degree from Lewis and Clark College in Portland, OR with a concentration on youth and adolescence. She has experience working in domestic violence agencies, residential treatment and community mental health. She currently works in private practice in Eugene working with clients 14 and up. She works primarily with trauma survivors, adoptees and LGBTQIA+ individuals. She is a certified clinical trauma professional and is formally trained in EMDR and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy). She feels very fulfilled with her work and feels so grateful to have a career that is consistently interesting and moving.
In her free time, Sara loves spending time at the coast, long distance running with her dog, trying new restaurants, and watching sitcoms.
