Adoptees Crossing Line Podcast

The Adoptees Crossing Lines Podcast was established with the purpose of addressing the prevalent oversight of adoptees in conversations surrounding adoption, which typically center adoptive parents. Despite being the most directly affected individuals, adoptees are often marginalized, with limited space and opportunity to share their perspectives. During the period of global lockdown in 2020, Zaira had the opportunity to reflect and gradually emerged from the fog. Seeking a sense of belonging, Zaira began searching for communities related to adoption, only to find an abundance of resources catered solely to adoptive or foster parents. While Zaira did find solace in Facebook groups and formed a meaningful friendship, Zaira yearned for more comprehensive support. As her involvement deepened within the adoptee community, Zaira made the decision to launch a podcast. It all began with a single tweet, and today, we stand here as a testament to that journey.
